In order to identify high risk clients in the system, the HMIS team is going to be implementing a High Risk flag that will assist us in locating clients that would be particularly susceptible to COVID-19.
*This information only needs to be collected about clients enrolled in shelters, safe havens, outreach or day programs. Clients already enrolled in housing do not need to be updated.
The flag is a yes/no question: Is the client/household considered high-risk?
This question will be available on the Client Summary tab upon opening the client record - simply scroll down to view it.
Any information that was previously located on the Client Summary page (HPPC Call Summary, etc) has been moved to the Client Profile page.
Clients/households should be marked as high-risk if they meet the following criteria:
- Anyone over the age of 60
- Anyone with an underlying health condition
- Anyone who is pregnant
- Children aged 1 year or younger
Additional details may be found on the CDC website.
