This article will provide guidance on how to document common enrollment situations. More situations will be added as they arise in the community.
General Guidelines:
- Housing Move-in Date Criteria
- Clients/Households must be exited from a project when their services have ended.

Prior Living Situation (where the client stayed the night before)
- Should be based on the day of their first enrollment when there is no breaks between housing
- Should be based on the day of their newest enrollment when there is a break between housing

Transfers
New Project, Same Unit
If a client has been transferred to a new PSH or RRH project having already moved in and would not be required to move to a new unit:
- Exit the client from the original project when appropriate
- Create a new enrollment for the client with the new project
- Document their Housing Move-in date as the same day as Project Start
*Users should also follow this guideline in cases of Grant Consolidations or Project Closing
Example Scenario: Client is staying in Project A's unit, but on 1/1/21, the ownership of the unit has transferred to Project B. |

Same Project, New Unit
If a client is transferred from one unit to another, with no days of homelessness in between within the same project, no action is required.
If a client is transferred from one unit to another, with days of homelessness in between within the same project, follow these steps
- Exit the client from the project when appropriate
- Create a new enrollment for the client
- Document their Housing Move-in date when appropriate
Example Scenario: Client is staying in Project A's unit and needs to move to a new unit. The new unit is under construction, so the client is moved to a nearby shelter for a few days. They move out of their original unit on 1/1/2021. They are then in the shelter from 1/1-1/4. The client is provided keys to the new unit and are able to stay the night on 1/4. |
