New Agencies must complete the following steps in order to receive access to the HMIS. The requested information should be sent to the Help Desk at helpdesk@allchicago.org.
- Confirmation that your agency is eligible for the use of the HMIS:
- For providers required to use the HMIS by their funder, please provide us with your funding stream and grant number, indicating if you are also a sub-recipient of All Chicago
- For providers not required to use the HMIS and would like to voluntarily enter data, see this document for the framework used to assess readiness and alignment to the CoC's values: HMIS Project Creation Framework.
- Must be located within the IL-510 CoC. Please provide us with the main address of the organization.
- New agencies must complete the Agency Participation Agreement before getting any HMIS access. Please copy or provide us with the Executive Director's contact information so that we may send them the APA.
- The agency itself and participating projects will then need to be created in the HMIS. Please review and complete the form found in this article: New Project Creation
- Users will need to complete training before getting live access to the HMIS: Steps to Receiving HMIS Access - 2026
- Please note that you must have completed the steps above before your agency can submit access requests.
- Select an Agency Technical Administrator (ATA) - Registration should initially be made by a director, if they will not be an HMIS user, or the selected ATA.
- Review the article and complete the New Users form.
