WellSky has announced an upcoming security upgrade that will change how users log in to Community Services. This enhancement is designed to improve account security and provide more convenient account recovery options for users.
As part of this upgrade:
- Users will sign in using their email address instead of their current username.
- Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required for all users.
What Do You Need to Do?
Please review your organization's HMIS user accounts and ensure that all active users have a valid, current email address associated with their account.
A valid email address will be required to access the system after the upgrade.
If any user account information needs to be updated, please contact the HMIS Team.
When Will This Happen?
WellSky is currently planning to release this update coming soon.
While implementation dates have not yet been finalized, we anticipate the transition occurring sometime between late August and the end of September. We will share confirmed dates and additional details as soon as they become available.
Help Us Stay Connected
Because this upgrade will affect all HMIS users, we are expanding communications beyond our usual Administrative Technical Administrator (ATA) contacts. We ask that you please contact the HMIS Team if your organization's contact information needs to be updated.
This will help ensure that everyone affected by the transition receives important information throughout the implementation process.
What's Next?
We will continue to share updates as they become available, including:
- Implementation timelines
- Training opportunities
- MFA guidance and support resources
- Additional transition details
Thank you for your partnership as we prepare for this important security enhancement.
