Per HUD's recommendation and to assist with overall data quality, All Chicago has created an HMIS Recertification process. This process will help maintain data quality by allowing users to check their existing skill set via a short exam. The exam should take no longer than 30 mins and allows users to choose the project type(s) they are most comfortable working in. The process is set to begin in September of 2020 and is as follows:
- Users and their respective ATA will receive an email letting them know it is their anniversary month of receiving an HMIS license. For example, if a user received their ServicePoint license on September 24, 20xx, they will receive an email every September to recertify. Users will have two weeks to take the exam from the time they receive the email..
- Users will go to the TalentLMS to register for the Recertification exam. Upon completing the exam, users will receive a certificate that is valid for 1 year. If a user fails the exam, they must take the Recertification Refresher Course and then retake the exam. This course has a $25 fee. Upon completing the course, user will retake the exam. Failure to pass the exam a second time will result in an in person (or virtual) session with an All Chicago staff member.
