Starting on this October, housing providers that receive referrals from the Coordinated Entry System will be begin to receive two client referrals for every rematch request they put through.
Though we aim to provide you with an initial match that fits your project's full criteria, some initial matches may not work out. In that instance, after an initial match falls through, upon requesting a re-match, you will be provided with two client referrals.
Initial MatchOne match sent |
Initial Matches will be made to your housing project on a one-to-one basis. The incoming client will have a referral status of “Matched: Awaiting Housing Provider”. You must respond to your initial match by updating the referral need status. Typically, within two days you are trying to attempt contact with the client, so you will select “Attempted/Attempting Contact” to show that you are actively seeking out the client. We require that the any clients going through the matching process have at least ten days to respond. In this scenario, if this match does not work out due either to eligibility or the fact that you were not able to contact the client, you will update the referral need status to reflect so. |
Re-MatchTwo matches sent |
Upon selecting one of the re-match statuses, this automatically triggers our team to send your project two client referrals as opposed to just one. These clients will come into your project with the same "Matched: Awaiting Housing Provider" status as the initial match. Just like the initial match, we are also asking providers to ensure that housing providers update their client referral statuses within two days, in addition to providing clients at least 10 days for the client to respond to your outreach. The client that manages to respond and tentatively confirm their eligibility will move forward as any other client that is coming through an initial match. For the client that responds after the unit is no longer in question, you will simply update their status: "Rematch Needed: Client Engaged, Unit no longer available". |
We will be hosting a webinar at 3 pm on October 23rd to discuss the new process for re-matches. The registration link will be made available shortly.
