How do I enter Non-cash Benefits for children or other minor household members?
If a household is receiving a non-cash benefit, such as SNAP (Food Stamps), the sub-assessment should be completed for each minor household member for whom the benefit is intended. However, the dollar amount is only entered for the person who is receiving the payment (check). Complete the Amount of Non-Cash Benefit field within the sub-assessment under the record of the person receiving the benefit in their name (head of household or other adult). Then, enter the same sub-assessment under the child's record (or other minor) leaving the Amount of Non-Cash Benefit field blank. See below for details:

Note: If you are making updates to a client's benefits after Entry, please see the workflow for adding an Interim Review. You should no longer update a client's benefits through the Entry, unless you had made a data entry error when entering this field at Entry.
