*Post Webinars Correction and Clarification:
Q: Will it be considered poor data quality that you didn't exit them closer to the time you last saw them?
A: In the webinar, it was stated that the standard for the time between the last time a client was contacted and their project exit date is determined by the agency. However, we need to correct and clarify that the Chicago CoC has its own Data Quality Plan, that states:
"For all other project types (Services Only, Rapid Re-Housing, Street Outreach, Day Shelter, Homelessness Prevention, Other), projects should exit clients from their project in HMIS no more than seven (7) days after their last contact."
This has been clarified in the slide deck below.
Overview of Workflow Changes
There are will be 3 distinct stages in this updated workflow, similar to the previous workflow.
- Contacts
- Engagement
- Project Exit
A few notable changes in the workflow are:
- You will not need to document positive or negative encounters as service transactions.
- To document a contact, an interim assessment will need to be created, along with a Current Living Situation entry
- More clarification on what should be entered at each stage
These stages will be described in depth in the following slide deck:
